Insecure Extrovert Thinks Introverts Have Gotten Enough Attention

In 2014 the traits valued (in both men and women) include being outgoing, gregarious, enthusiastic, assertive, and talkative.

Could the difference be that we’ve gone from a male dominated culture in 1900 (that reflected male values) to a female dominated culture in 2014 that is now reflecting female values in what society now deems to be desirable traits for both men and women?

Yeah, thanks Lyons for making those of us who are strongly extroverted look like a bunch of narcissists by your solipsistic rant.
Myth 1: obviously a straw man. Only an idiot would think extroverts don’t have feelings, because we are usually much more open to sharing our feelings. Duh.
Myth 2: What? How is it a myth that extroverts are naturally outgoing? I don’t think Ms. Lyons is aware of the real meaning of the word “myth”. Being naturally outgoing is what extroverts are, by definition. Duh again.
Myth 3: It’s a stereotype because on the whole we ARE less introspective. Does she even realize that introvert and introspective share the same root?
Myth 4: Okay, I have to agree with this one being a myth. Or rather, a sterotype. Buth I’ve known quite a few extroverts AND introverts who don’t care about what other people have to say. Deal with it.
Myth 5: Once again, a sterotype which has some basis in fact. And in her case, I’d imagine even a casual analsysis of her life interactions would reveal that she is a blatant example of this sterotype.
